I dislike fitness first and there are many varied reasons. Another popped up which is a great example why. I saw that a class of Capoeira was running and asked about it. I was told it was free and I had just to tun up (which hasn't been working in the past due to over subscription for other classes) so I tried desperately at 7.30 to book in that day, you have to do it the same day ! Saves them turning the page I guess. But anyway I was told I had to call back at 8.00 so I gave in and did that. I was told I couldn't reserve a place but that the class cost 10 pounds. Contrary to what I had been told previously I wanted a second opinion. Fitness First product knowledge is very poor you see..
So I called again and yes I would have to pay, was she sure -yes she was sure, have you guessed yet ? Well I decided I didn't want to pay for the class which I am supposed to be paying for already in my membership. I would go for a run in the sun and hit a few weights after work.
My run was ok, started out very average but I got into it and pushed further going about 4 miles + getting to the gym I asked again about the capoeira and in fact it was the same assistant, who might have guessed my voice or just that I was the only one continually asking about the cap..So she informed me that she was wrong. A first for Fitness First admitting your wrong, but she did and that was fine. The class was a half hour away, I'm pouring with sweat and have some left in the tank. But I might see how my weights go and if I want to do the class.
The long and short [dear lord we like the short] was that I did the class. You can read about what kind of an experience it was here [link under construction]..
