In trying to book my sailing trip with hot liquid there was a booking made successfully Friday night and then because the booking was seemingly bought and paid for so too was a flight.
I was only informed Monday the following morning with less than a week to go now that their system has overbooked the boat. This means that they are storing the payment details which is wrong, as their computer system doesn't actually automatically take payment instead they have to wait until someone gets to work on a Monday.
But the reason I'm even writing about this is that their attitude was that I could change my flight and pay the penalty if any and that I ought to contact other sail companies myself to get something else. This was their was of saying sorry. Awful customer service needs writting about, is it an individual or a company ? Difficult to tell. But after following up I finally got them to book me with another school whoose course was more expensive and they said I should barter with them to get the price down !!! should they not themselves make up the difference. I have a feeling It wasn't overbooked but empty and they didn't want to take just me. They then acted like they were really doing me a massive favour and wasn’t asking for commission from other company !!
