I had a great week end topped off by the thames festival. Might have seen more of the days events, in fact saw none but maybe got the best with a stunning carnival, sometimes better than the one of Notting Hill if smaller, but no crowds either and even for the fireworks which were excellent, the crowds were easily negotiable. My poor car was in need of a new windscreen, paid the 60 quid excess and the insurance comapny coughed up the other 440 quid ! This is to get it through the MOT perhaps this week.
