Well I'm in London now, balam to be exact...
Got the contract I needed to give me confidance to get the room which I am now inhabiting in a leafy suburb south of the river.
I am working for one of the biggest advertising agencies in the world called Ogilvy and the London office is in the canary wharf. So come and visit if you know me of course. This means im commited somewhat to a period here but it is that which I want. I need to see what it is like to live in London with a good job.
I also joined the local gym yesterday and look forward to getting in shape, im not too bad at the moment and it wont be a mountain to climb since I have been swimming and running, just didnt get any done last week due to the new job.
Also has a pool in the new gym so I will get a good cross training. The dark evenings have stopped me from running. It is a nice area balam which is not overly classy and is affordable.
Tommorow it will have been a year since my father passed away and would have liked to be with mum and bernadette tommorow but just cant. Just because its the aniversary dont think (dont know) it will make it especially hard, they are all hard still.
Had my first training session yesterday and have been 80% with some cold all week. Hope that gets better.
The worst thing this week was getting two parking tickets even though having a valid permit displayed, watch this space im going to fight it obviously. So you see you do things right and they still just issue you with a money fine. Is this the epitome of things to come elswhere? I would love to get to talk with the traffic warden. "Im just doing my job mate im sure they would tell me.."
I dont want to pay and wonder if jail is on the horizon if ever i dont.
