It was a rainy touch down in Grenada, but not to worry it is the rainy season and these showers pass. I got some cash out (always nice to see your card works) and got a cab to grande anse beach and the beach inn. I think it was a combination of the rain and my jet lag which made me decide not to stay and push on to carriacou island, which was a ferry ride away in 3 hours time, shit after such travel already maybe I should just have stayed but decided to press on. As if it was raining I wasnt going to do much anyway.

I left my big bag at a supermarket and nothing else was open, so it was empty rainy and seemingly nothing to do. I just had to be confidant in things improving. And they are. The ferry crossing was rough man! makes me wonder if I can be a yaughtsman...

During the wait I did try the local dish of callaloo soup which is some kind of local leaves. They are big green ones. It was a very plain taste to me. The rain cleared up to leave a humid grey day and there was the tiredness which comes from a long day of waiting, still more to do.. So I finally caght the ferry across and it wasn't a smooth trip, it took off in dusk too 2.25 hours to arrive and was pretty black as we tossed and turned. It arrived and I found luckily with next to no effort ade's dream hotel which was 35 dollars U.S. per day. This was all I was able to do, I crashed out with air-con and fan early and forced myself to sleep as long as I could.
