We did no exercise tonight but we sang and clapped and tried to learn some of the songs that make the roda better, thursdays are going to be this more often now. Otherwise sister dropped a bit of a bombshell, not going into that one in public.

Off to miami on thursday looking forward to it will meet estelle there, looking forwards to the climate the beach..4 days and out, perfect not long enough to get hooked again.

I have just returned from watching arsenal beat tottenham, a very entertaining game, but merits no further comment because there is a far more interesting topic. Instead I feel I would like to put my 2p's worth or maybe even a tenner now I am indeed the voice of raison towards the following:

The whole russel ross gate as I [you heard it here first] call it is worth mentioning, shouting I would say. It has gone way beyond where it should have gone much like tottenham tonight when they went a goal up!

Gordon Brown took a turn for the worse in my eyes as the headlines read that he said it was unacceptable as did the masses but very late on and don't you have more important things to sort out ?. Here are my points...

1) I got annoyed that he [el PM] chipped in to this debate, then I thought in the evening, of course he didn't it was spin, so ok Gordon, you still have a chip in my game.

2) russel and ross gate - 18,000 people complained. (That's not that many out of 8 million), when I heard the broadcast from iplayer which I was working on at the time IM'd charlie and said that was a bit close to the bone, and like most people I think ( no I hear ) that it was over the top. It was too personal, but I thought at the time it was not to a real telephone answering machine but it WAS. Well it was and yes it was wrong, but lets not throw stones per se , I think that the pair of energetic minds were a bit too symbiotic and empowered by a moment - that live moment. But let me say that it was a sort of perverted entertainment and I myself while not finding it funny found it engaging. An old adage there is no such thing as bad publicity.

3) The 2 were suspended which I think was correct (god I dream of being suspended naked- another story). I did say live, at the time it was and if there was error then it was in judgement of publishing it further, which the bbc are putting their hands up to. And I have to say that they come under intense unfair pressure as an INSTITUTION in this country.

4) It's a tightrope to walk at times and yes it was wrong and we all agree, lets meter out due punishment and move on.

We demand engaging - we secretly ask celebrity to rise to the occasion in our consumption. But we love it.

And unlike any other nation on earth it is the very essence of Britannia. A stiff moralistic backbone 18,000 strong but then the artists and the punk movement to be the reaction against., no other nation would have given birth to the punk movement nor would have raised a voice against their girlfriends but we positively smacked our bitches up. This is my England, my understanding of what makes us not necessarily great but strong and as I feel for the sachs family somewhat (lets keep some perspective) and while we are very much into our shock or sensationalism we must surely expect the icons to drop the occasional faux pas, and for those in the limelight (manuel's gradaughter - do we imagine ?) to accept the blow of that double edged sword.

I cant believe it is snowing outside not yet November and just about a week ago it was pleasant in the sun with a t shirt on. Freaky stuff peops. I ran to the leisure centre must be almost 1.25 miles each way and bloody cold and wet. Having fun with the iplayer at work and we have a new arrival frank to the team. I just wish they did their weekly drinks on a Friday.

It was nice to finally meet you Estella after our conversations online this saturday and I hope you had a good flight back. Other than meeting Estella the week end was non eventful, didn't make it again to capoeira, wasnt motivated to make the treck and it really does cut the day right in half. My feet have really started to hurt also so I need to maybe try twice per week. Tonight though my head was not there yet I got a good stretch in but I dont know if its progressing in that way. I'm making headway in other areas and its much more fun than the gym. Arsenal doing well in Europe and I'm just watching the highlights of that now so bye...

Nothing much going on as I have eased into Autumn..what am I talking about last week was manic. I started to go regularly to Capoeira here in south London so that's needing to be fitted in ok. no problem and I'm liking it. But last week saw me needing to get my MOT done. A new coil and discs and pads all round meant a bill of 531 pounds. I think I was robbed a bit on the labour although I replaced both coils so it symmetrical the brake work was exaggerated. So don't go to Springbok garage in tooting bec they do good work but I think it was take the piss time a bit as I was charge 8 pounds for sundries...which was some gaffer tape and brake cleaner , so what needed cleaning ?? What's the point in fighting. Well if I had a pit I might have been able to do some of the work myself but living out here in the citi, this is just the way it is sometime.

I might like to go and be a dive instructor or ski instructor but the old favourite of running or managing a bar (why not roatan or rio) or perhaps I should go big in London. Get central get high get souless ? You see it gets complicated.

Qu es que je dois faire ?It is a cliche, but we have but 1. and I might be getting half way through the best half ? No i disagree growing up is a pain in the arsenal.

I - on my way back home was wondering how my very own end would arrive. I don't cycle to work because I have the fear of getting run over by some care free fuck that really ought to be the one going under his/her wheeel and not me. But rather dwelling for a moment upon such people as they are ,and exist next to me, I imagine that it may be some stupid encounter between a guy somewhere like rio de geniro. This is the last city for me that represents some kind of fear. Others being liverpool L.A. (in which I dodged my bullet- really, hence every day being a bonus) and havanna. So its the one remaining that I don't know. Well what difference does that make. So don't go there. But of course I am attracted as much as a bee to honey. I am brave / stupid. Am I am sure that normally all will be well. But on that occasion that I do get asked do strip and hand over my wallet can I overcome the urge to say fuck you so I can save that 30 quid in exchange for my pride and life. Possibly will depend on that moment, and moments are simply that in your life which was interesting for yourself. Or plain fear.

I really think that my stupidity may shine though and win the day, well perhaps there are stronger forces at bay. But so far really I have faced that non lethal gun in other decisions and died in other ways. Left to live an think about what decision I had made. Its all unquantifiable (I dont give a shit how fast your geneva tube sends protons) measure. So am I the walking dead. No I am simply pissed, god bless stella artois.

Handy link for me and a bit of a pledge now. This is the way to stay focussed. This year I did my sailing course and the bike course I need to get on with, now I need to get charlie to fire me up to do that...It's been productive and its not over yet. I can feel the chill in the house now, it seems warmer outside, its like a bloody beetle car cold in winter and hot in summer.

Well it has sort of started again the champions league and I saw the game tonight with Charlie a true gooner in the better sense of the term. We dominated the whole match except for a complete 15 minutes of panic after they scored and gained some confidance. I took from this great faith that they overcame this arsenal trait of the team of a few seasons, so hopefully that panic ghost is controllable. We got a draw from the game and well deserved their goal was from a penalty I didn't agree with and neither did most.

I went out of my way to get my donner meat and chips from the istanbul in tooting bec. And bloody good it was too. I am hoping I remain in touch with Capoeira tomorrow night its been 3 weeks otherwise I missed. I am moving forward in a direction and on the whole life is good and I feel very lucky about that, for a great many after hurricanes and flooding all I have to write about is a football game.

It looks like everyone is jumping on the get Gordon Brown band wagon, strange really I think we now need a charismatic leader who is not much else, a decent ex chancellor or the funds in charge with no style and the labour party are out for blood, we even had a martyr this week. What he should do is get a spin doctor who whips them in to shape. They need to realise that they and us are here due to tony. His legacy won't just leave. It's like a cheap hookers perfume you just cant get rid of the smell. I'm kidding its an economic crisis you know.

I have just got back from a fantastic trip learning to sail with straits sailing in Gibraltar. I was on the boat with a great bunch Kenneth a Belgian guy (going for day skipper), Joe an American with lots of experience (going for yacht master) and mark also going for yacht master. The Instructor was Colin with 25 years of sailing under his belt so we were in good hands.

Tarifa
I arrived in Gibraltar and left just as quickly so I could do Saturday night. I struggled to find a place to stay and was forced to pay 90 euros for the night. Not so happy about that but there you go , on the spot travel is a risk.
Tarifa has a fantastic manageable on foot feeling, except for all that long beautiful coastline. It s truly a kite surfing and windsurfing mecca.
It has a lively night scene during summer and I wonder what this place is like out of season. I really enjoyed myself during my stay there though I was really alone.
I would like to go back one day and learn some more about kite surfing, think I might be getting past it now though.

Day 1

First day we got down in to the bay some tacking and gibing (making turns into and down wind) and some recovering man overboard. For me I was getting used to the ropes and sheet work. Hard work on soft hands ! This first night we stayed in Gibraltar as there was a rally on in Cueta which is a Spanish enclave in Morocco and we wouldnt get the boat berthed in the Marina for free.

We did get across to Ceuta but

Maybe this night we spent in Smir in Morocco.

The details of all the days are sketch at best now and really you or I can no longer be bothered can we its late here now.

Return and Friday Night in Gib.

Was nice to have made a friend in Kenneth and we will plan on meeting back up in London if I can get my phone working again ! He must think me one of those people who never get back to you..

In trying to book my sailing trip with hot liquid there was a booking made successfully Friday night and then because the booking was seemingly bought and paid for so too was a flight.
I was only informed Monday the following morning with less than a week to go now that their system has overbooked the boat. This means that they are storing the payment details which is wrong, as their computer system doesn't actually automatically take payment instead they have to wait until someone gets to work on a Monday.
But the reason I'm even writing about this is that their attitude was that I could change my flight and pay the penalty if any and that I ought to contact other sail companies myself to get something else. This was their was of saying sorry. Awful customer service needs writting about, is it an individual or a company ? Difficult to tell. But after following up I finally got them to book me with another school whoose course was more expensive and they said I should barter with them to get the price down !!! should they not themselves make up the difference. I have a feeling It wasn't overbooked but empty and they didn't want to take just me. They then acted like they were really doing me a massive favour and wasn’t asking for commission from other company !!
