I might like to go and be a dive instructor or ski instructor but the old favourite of running or managing a bar (why not roatan or rio) or perhaps I should go big in London. Get central get high get souless ? You see it gets complicated.

I - on my way back home was wondering how my very own end would arrive. I don't cycle to work because I have the fear of getting run over by some care free fuck that really ought to be the one going under his/her wheeel and not me. But rather dwelling for a moment upon such people as they are ,and exist next to me, I imagine that it may be some stupid encounter between a guy somewhere like rio de geniro. This is the last city for me that represents some kind of fear. Others being liverpool L.A. (in which I dodged my bullet- really, hence every day being a bonus) and havanna. So its the one remaining that I don't know. Well what difference does that make. So don't go there. But of course I am attracted as much as a bee to honey. I am brave / stupid. Am I am sure that normally all will be well. But on that occasion that I do get asked do strip and hand over my wallet can I overcome the urge to say fuck you so I can save that 30 quid in exchange for my pride and life. Possibly will depend on that moment, and moments are simply that in your life which was interesting for yourself. Or plain fear.

I really think that my stupidity may shine though and win the day, well perhaps there are stronger forces at bay. But so far really I have faced that non lethal gun in other decisions and died in other ways. Left to live an think about what decision I had made. Its all unquantifiable (I dont give a shit how fast your geneva tube sends protons) measure. So am I the walking dead. No I am simply pissed, god bless stella artois.

Handy link for me and a bit of a pledge now. This is the way to stay focussed. This year I did my sailing course and the bike course I need to get on with, now I need to get charlie to fire me up to do that...It's been productive and its not over yet. I can feel the chill in the house now, it seems warmer outside, its like a bloody beetle car cold in winter and hot in summer.

Well it has sort of started again the champions league and I saw the game tonight with Charlie a true gooner in the better sense of the term. We dominated the whole match except for a complete 15 minutes of panic after they scored and gained some confidance. I took from this great faith that they overcame this arsenal trait of the team of a few seasons, so hopefully that panic ghost is controllable. We got a draw from the game and well deserved their goal was from a penalty I didn't agree with and neither did most.

I went out of my way to get my donner meat and chips from the istanbul in tooting bec. And bloody good it was too. I am hoping I remain in touch with Capoeira tomorrow night its been 3 weeks otherwise I missed. I am moving forward in a direction and on the whole life is good and I feel very lucky about that, for a great many after hurricanes and flooding all I have to write about is a football game.

It looks like everyone is jumping on the get Gordon Brown band wagon, strange really I think we now need a charismatic leader who is not much else, a decent ex chancellor or the funds in charge with no style and the labour party are out for blood, we even had a martyr this week. What he should do is get a spin doctor who whips them in to shape. They need to realise that they and us are here due to tony. His legacy won't just leave. It's like a cheap hookers perfume you just cant get rid of the smell. I'm kidding its an economic crisis you know.

I have just got back from a fantastic trip learning to sail with straits sailing in Gibraltar. I was on the boat with a great bunch Kenneth a Belgian guy (going for day skipper), Joe an American with lots of experience (going for yacht master) and mark also going for yacht master. The Instructor was Colin with 25 years of sailing under his belt so we were in good hands.

Tarifa
I arrived in Gibraltar and left just as quickly so I could do Saturday night. I struggled to find a place to stay and was forced to pay 90 euros for the night. Not so happy about that but there you go , on the spot travel is a risk.
Tarifa has a fantastic manageable on foot feeling, except for all that long beautiful coastline. It s truly a kite surfing and windsurfing mecca.
It has a lively night scene during summer and I wonder what this place is like out of season. I really enjoyed myself during my stay there though I was really alone.
I would like to go back one day and learn some more about kite surfing, think I might be getting past it now though.

Day 1

First day we got down in to the bay some tacking and gibing (making turns into and down wind) and some recovering man overboard. For me I was getting used to the ropes and sheet work. Hard work on soft hands ! This first night we stayed in Gibraltar as there was a rally on in Cueta which is a Spanish enclave in Morocco and we wouldnt get the boat berthed in the Marina for free.

We did get across to Ceuta but

Maybe this night we spent in Smir in Morocco.

The details of all the days are sketch at best now and really you or I can no longer be bothered can we its late here now.

Return and Friday Night in Gib.

Was nice to have made a friend in Kenneth and we will plan on meeting back up in London if I can get my phone working again ! He must think me one of those people who never get back to you..

In trying to book my sailing trip with hot liquid there was a booking made successfully Friday night and then because the booking was seemingly bought and paid for so too was a flight.
I was only informed Monday the following morning with less than a week to go now that their system has overbooked the boat. This means that they are storing the payment details which is wrong, as their computer system doesn't actually automatically take payment instead they have to wait until someone gets to work on a Monday.
But the reason I'm even writing about this is that their attitude was that I could change my flight and pay the penalty if any and that I ought to contact other sail companies myself to get something else. This was their was of saying sorry. Awful customer service needs writting about, is it an individual or a company ? Difficult to tell. But after following up I finally got them to book me with another school whoose course was more expensive and they said I should barter with them to get the price down !!! should they not themselves make up the difference. I have a feeling It wasn't overbooked but empty and they didn't want to take just me. They then acted like they were really doing me a massive favour and wasn’t asking for commission from other company !!

Im off to visit Buckingham palace today, and enter the state room, should be interesting, and the smell of mister sheen should be think in the air

Went to south west 4 saturday and had a good day, but hurt my back in the process...lifting people including reese who must be 13 stone+ but the cahllenge had been laid down..
So that has scuppered training a bit, the good news is its a known injury not lower back and just needs time and some gradual movement. I'm really looking forward to sailing next week. Wow less than a week i will be in gibraltar.

I have had dreams about Gibraltar in the past ! And it was significantly bizare, so it will be even more exciting.

The one thing I value possibly more than anything else is my eyesight. And yet I'm here struggling to read the screen which has a luminosity of its own. Good job its not a book, and good luck trying to get off on any porn ! The energy saving light-bulb is going to contribute how much exactly to saving the planet. A big fat zero.

Because the concept is that you need zero [0] emissions to stop the damage to the ozone. That's not going to happen no matter how for past couple of weeks and next six months ( we love the Chinese again since the olmpics ) they are pumping it up there, and our American-t cousins too. So you can take your 40 watt energy saving bulbs and due to their size and the screw like nature the expression go get screwed could be taken a little to literally for my liking.

I will just make mention to the fact that we have had some wonderful athletes performing recently and for the size of the Island we are we are the most successful Olympic nation in the world !

AND WITH THE FRENCH GETTING THE HIGHEST AMOUNT OF SILVER MEDALS THEY ARE THE BEST LOOSERS

I was very surprised to see that not even moving any files and accepting default settings allowed downloaded IPlayer content from the BBC to be viewable on my old school t.v. meant that through the windows media centre via vista I could watch my downloaded programmes through the xbox. The surprising thing was this was by accident. I did intent to watch the content via my laptop however but was surprised to see that the downloads were available to watch while messing with my xbox !

I am working right now for the BBC on IPlayer still. It's a fantastic position I am very grateful for action script for !

My life and your life is like a massive ship. It has inertia. You can decide to turn the ship but it doesn't happen immediately.
The times I have wanted to turn my life have been moments, and I expected somehow to wake up and things to be on the right track.

I guess not..

If you were infected then you were infected point of fact. You'r not the last, and you join a long line of people who lead ordinary lives. I guess because so many were stung that becomes ordinary.

You calvin have been infected with the London bug, and try as you might you will not escape. If it is within 24 hours since incubation then you could try moving to Miami but the fact that you have already lived there reduces your chances. L.A. also, well we need to get nuclear then - Rio.

Amazingly the rain has continued into August and my niece had a rainy birthday and this is normally not the case.
I missed it this year but Happy birthday again darling.

The summer weather has been very poor. I think so far there have been 2 evening that have been nice, albeit too hot to sleep. So it's disappointing. And last year it wasn't great either. So is this shape of things to come. Have we lost our seasons ? I might not be here for next years. I feel like taking a year out not to travel but to explore business ideas and to do that I need to find a cheap place to live while I won't be earning money. I might consider becoming a dive instructor for a while.
The Olympics have started and I might get into them a bit. Had an excellent night out in cubana in waterloo, too many mojitos , but good fun and dancing..

I did my Second class of Capoeira today and the proper instructor was back. It was a different and harder experience. More flexibility was required but the format of cool African Brazilian music played throughout. One does some stretching and warm up and then some basic moves which develop. Unlike other arts, and this really is an art its very hand stand based and is very dance like. Indeed at the end we made a ring and the dancing / sparring began, and then others would come into the ring and challenge after some sort of ritual handshake. It was very beautiful to see the better dancers fighters what do I call you ? moving around with speed and grace. I really love it and shall go next week.

Finally his room his bed he crashed into it and emotions were given the green light. He had said since the demise of K.P. it was never going to be the same but then came Anne and some others inbetween however it felt like something had snapped some innocence lost. Unlike a leg it couldn't be fixed so far though each time it appeared so. So what happened on each of the subsequent occasions that HE had fallen in love then ? Each time that feeling of leaping tall buildings as bruce spingsteen had himself done. And was it ever as strong or truthful. Or was it true that that Snap was the first and only last. His friend had told him about a brick of love that this friend held. And how that his friends then love ,she had chipped away at it for him until it had gone.
