Come on guys, more motor and less padding bs, I'm talking about top gear who insist on padding out their show with pointless "funnies" canned laughter necessary on their trouser scene which was 5 minutes of pointlessness apart from the fact to link into an intro for the bmw z8 and getting something wrong, you see clarkson made a pair of trousers and then a guy modelled them.
I'm cooking a Christmas pud as its getting towards the best before (see previous paragraph) and I have to make sure its piping hot ! What exactly is piping hot. I think its describing that if you inserted a pipe to its core then you would get hot steam from within like mount pinatubo , and nothing to do with pulp fiction.
I ask myself what I really feel about us taking oil from the falklands in the event of a big strike. I really do struggle to see how it is ours full stop. A shared somehow ownership might be the best solution. Though I'm sure we have military might heading over that way as I type, and I would support military action if there was an invasion of the falklands that is of no doubt. its a complicated world.

320 steps negotiated from the bottom of hampstead heath tube to the top. Didn't see why I needed the crappy lift and felt like I was shirking a challenge after a good session of Capoeira at the oasis leisure centre just opposite shaftsbury theatre. Its amazng that pool there in the middle of this old metropolis pretending to be roman baths but it was cool bit of a labryinth though inside still learnt a lot today as always. Capoeira is my challenge still.

Haven't managed to secure a good deal on skiing its so expensive this year and I'm holding out for Val Disere..

landed.at just rolled over into its new home, its as bad as moving home moving servers, and I'm looking at setting up a marketing campaign from the ground up using sugarCRM. Its a new direction and learning too very organic, my websites are my plants. I would like a much less technical diversion aside from Capoeira as that takes energy and mind , something a little less in need of my concentration if you like as much as I love capoeira. Capoeira one day may be a fun distraction but this is one thing you don't get any good at quickly, there are few quick returns in this game which is why I respect caporistas so much.

It was a really sad day, I had to take the family pet wisp to the vets today to be put down.
After spending the night on the living room couch with the Winter Olympics Snow Board Cross on the tv my thoughts were filled with the coming day.
Would I be able to go through with it. It was for 11.am and I found the strength knowing it was the right thing to do.
As an life in death Wisp didn't want to play ball. On having the initial needle inserted she bit the vet. This was no pretty site and they had left the room to do this step so the vet cam back in with this horrific looking bite on her arm (I had thought to warn her that the cat is a bit wild at times but Wisp has really been calmer of late and the vet surely knows the risks no) asking if it was ok to sedate wisp. I didnt really know that the sedation would render Wisp a dead looking cat already. And though we were assured (Annelie accompanied me and I will never forget her support ) that Wisp could see us I wasn't sure I mean how do they know ?
Still the second complication is that with sedation the heart rate slows so very much that when the killing injection goes in it takes much longer to spread so we are crying our eyes out saying our goodbye, but she doesnt seem to be going anywhere from he currently comatose state , you can see no change in the dead looking eyes. The vet wanted to inject into the heart directly but even under sedation I didnt want that I didnt believe it would not be felt. So they gave her another dose regularly but by the time they had finished that she was gone. And in doing that she was taken to one side and unable to see us so she actually went with me not there as far as she knew. Its amazing that these animals we call pets seem to always be there for us come rain or shine or at feeding time. And for me this is what really binds my affection to them.
I buried her in the family garden afterwards.

I am a young joe montana but not a jerry and not an NFL up and coming.
I was watching pulp fiction this evening and contemplating the Caribbean chatting to Annelie my girlfriend and Arsenal went top of the English premier league. I texted my old bbc sport chum cliff and said at half time that if Arsenal lost this game the season would be over. I think it would have been. I was annoyed not to have been able to see the game and to learn via an update of the win was an indication to me that they really are in with a chance to take the title this year.

Drogba will find it is harder to score goals when you have to and you don't have such a relaxed position so many things in life work in this way ! Lets see if he misses when all year so far he has been pretty good. I do say so myself that he passed his initial time not doing very well but I was saying how good he was and that his time would come ! He did and I hope for Arsenal that he feels another side.

All this on the back of a Capoeira class with a different instructor which was good as cross training is good. Capoeira - why I didn't find it sooner ? There must be some bigger plan. Will the Caribbean go ahead skiing ? an exciting time a time I have a hand in
I have been working on some widgets that will enhance the user experience for www.landed.at they should be getting released soon and I hope that from a release into the website it should not take too much to get a facebook application from them too. Of course social networking is the place to be right now. What is the next social networking ? I have some theories on that one. Also I have started to notice an increase in traffic and revenue for the website. This is most encouraging and has finally proven the validity of my efforts, but more importantly with such a site the lid is up there and the challenge is to get it higher with the minimum of time and investment, but it can be done. I am focusing on quality and depth of unique information for the site and in giving the user a different travel website. There are hundreds and thousands of travel websites but no one knows travel for everyone its a unique experience for us all. And I want to provide inspiration to travel as much as anything- it keeps me inspired to travel too.

I was becoming despondent yes I think that's the word with Buenos Aires. Since over the years hearing a lot about the city and recently hearing how good it was by word of mouth I changed flight plans to include it in my trip instead of surfing in Florianapolis. Crazy it was seeming until this evening. You see I had tried not to be but couldn't help but feel disappointed. BA was lacking any sort of character for me. I had sensed something the other day wandering round Bocca, but it left me equally as fast as it had come as the taxi wound its way back from narrow run down but charming streets to the wide roads and boulevards of San Telmo. I think its the wide roads and sheer number of westerners here that add to this. But after my visit to the bomberdino or boca juniors stadium right in the heart of bocca I was found by this tango place and the seed was sown. And this evening I found passion and something I understood and enjoyed - a Tango show. How the hell I understand it I don't know but I just do. Maybe in a past life or something ha ! But I feel like I know how they feel when they do the lifts and holds and hit the sharp beats of the music. Not to mention the sexuality of the dance, tomorrow I will run with this idea mixed with adding a painting to my collection. And I will try to see more Tango before I leave. Its nice to discover something new that you like

I can finally see South America out of my window it is morning and I am feeling like a run down Copacabana. I had loaded up with a great breakfast and was ready. I had met a few of the guests and things were good. The showers and toilets left a lot to be desired and though this place was cheap it seemed to have a buzz. I was also pretty mentally not wanting to up sticks and move again especially to a place I still didnt have an address for ! I just needed the internet, tied to that invention my organisation seems to be dodgy without it. But first that run. Boy is it humid here. It was tough and I think the total length seems to be 4 or 5 miles that I will verify as I had my GPS with me. The heat killed me and I had to stop many times and stretched those legs out. But I got a massive runners high I could feel my pupils dialating and I was finally in Rio De Janeiro. That day I just stayed close to Copacabana and hunted the hostel, finally a very friendly other hostel allowed me to use their internet which was working so why not mellow yellows ? and then I got the address. Part of me it has to be said was a little unreasonable in expecting the cabbie to have waited as it wasn't a guy from the hostel who was picking up.
But there was to be a final evening in the mellow yellow a mistake perhaps as I got very little sleep and it was so hot. It is one thing being woken up it is another entirely to be woken up by lame lines trying to get one of the female backpackers in bed, guy after guy came in and she was chatting away. The final well timed approach was an asphalt from Peru and after 10 minutes of that I ended their chatter by requesting if I could borrow some ear plugs if they had them, to be fair she wanted just to go to sleep but hey why burn a seventh bridge honey ? Am I really going to be able to live like this for 5 months in Val D'Isere ? That evening was still very hot and the bar was pretty dead if you ask me and I didnt really see any party other than the guys trying to get the girls, and it was a major cockfest. Still it paid off for one guy as some of the conversation that evening had been to the effect of " I got to the door and I could hear this , uh uh uh uh ...." yes it was one of those nights. Of consequence was a period of time spent in a fun hostel in Miami beach and I started to remenisce about real parties.

Of course the hostel I was staying at was to new to be in my guide book which posed a problem, finding it. I had not taken the address in part due to my previous nights frolicking. But the taxi driver knew another place the Mellow Yellow. Rio was still shrouded in darkness except for the highway and we drove quite a way, though it was dark I felt compelled to keep my eyes open though my body again craved sleep. Then we arrived in Copacabana and the mellow yellow. I was greeted by a guy with good English and a torch, good start, and upon entering there there were travellers calling out from the dark as we ascended to the favela dorm room with 24 beds.
Under torchlight I managed to get the sheets on this plastic covered matress and the same for the pillow. Wow you have done it again crane snatched discomfort from the jaws of relative comfort. The fans were not working too so it was the chatter of drunken 20 somethings that filled the air. No matter the noise or the crackling sheets or the intense heat, my body wanted rest it was about 1 or 2 am.

The plane made good time and I started to feel normalcy again, was getting picked up to go to the hostel in Copacabana.

As an aside I had also caught somewhere my eyebrow piercing and I had to take the decision to remove it, I was fearing infection that would scar the area so I took it out on the plane, I should have done it earlier but I was very sorry to see it go.
Unfortunately there was delay due to Brazil forgetting to stick some coins in the meter or something as they had no power for the the entire country ! Oh and half of Paraguay as they power half of them too.
So no generators in the airport - I think they did have but hadnt tested them for a while as immigration did get up and running but not before I had sprawled myself across the floor in the surrounding darkness. I'm sure my driver won't stick around ! He didn't frantic for some easy after the hassle I was checking out the name boards for the first time in my life but I was unwanted.

I will never forget that walk to my home in Hampstead Heath must have had 1 hours sleep at most and the trip up the northern line had me thinking that I could squeeze 15 minutes of sleep in. I was pretty much packed and needed to leave the house at 8.30am to catch a 1200 flight to Rio De Janiero. I had had an awesome evening and night but I couldnt remember feeling the zombie that I did walking back home from the tube before. Though there was that red eye I thought would bar me from boarding to Roatan from Miami once, still I think I was still flying on something then.

I did exactly that and crashed out setting 2 alarms at risk and I couldnt face a shower and instead had a shallow bath to try and wake me up better, oh boy that was a mistake, I wanted to stay in that tub. I wanted to dream in fact I was dreaming all the way to Rio and also during the time I was asleep.
It seems crazy that we get so upset over deaths in war. Or perhaps it is that the media is giving them such strong coverage when Cancer is still such a massive killer for example. In the first day of fighting on the Somme, some 60,000 men died that's about the total American loss in their Vietnam campaign.
I can't buy this idea that we won't loose service men or women on the battlefield War is a nasty unglorious business and sometime necessary to preserve freedom and longer peace. Yes every loss on either side is an unfortunate death but in my eyes no better or worse than a death through famine or a traffic accident.

But where are the smart people ? Is it really socialism or capitalism nothing instead, has not politics evolved or developed is there not another idea even a rough model I can work with that satisfies man's inequalities as a perfect idea will fall flat when it comes to man. We need something that will work with greed and control, dominance ...its not just man, in nature there is no equality you are better and you get your wicked way with your mate and that is why people die in wars.

I'm in a different class these days and it is of the Cordao de Ouro Clan. I do like it in my local swiss cottage leisure centre. It started to click again after too long away and missing too many classes due to its popularity and one hell of a hangover on a recent Sunday. Still today is Wednesday a good day for me.

I mixed well and started to really get into the music again. Then off to Capoeira and a good class my fitness level coming back up and then on to the finchley road walkabout to watch Arsenal go through in the champions league, could it get any better ? Yes Lyon also qualifying probably at the expense of Liverpool, they won in Europe enough already no ?

WOW - a nature program has never prompted me to blog before , dedication and the kind of leading edge work that used to be synonymous with the BBC not so often these days as tv becomes cheap, but great , no almost horrid to watch some of this. No its amazing...I started to write this before seeing the complete end and then they stole my word primeval as I had used it to describe the act ! So its not just me then, this is really tugging at something inside and I saw just an edited version. This I felt something I have felt humans do in some way seen before , a slow burn a slow death, its the slowness and the relentless nature of nature that I have not seen , before now . Always a lion or cheetah kill or great white attack, its over quickly. Here a Dinosaur in our world takes on pray 5 times its size. How ? well watch and see. The rest of the show is also very interesting but its the last quarter that is truly altering for me I never saw nature like this before. A creature like I assume all creatures to be innocent but in this case a glimpse of as they call it attitude. Act and knowingly plan for a long term kill. They take 3 weeks of provocation and following almost feels like its due to sheer exhaustion and enough is enough.

Meet the Buffalo and the Komodo Dragon, great work guys Kevin Flay (cameraman) and researcher Mathew Swarbrick.
Am I right that this is something else ?
